13-March-09 (Malathi's birthday)

This is the second day blogging.

Today was the first birthday of the series of birthday of the couple.

Start of the day
The day started off pretty lazily as usual but unusually it was Malathi the birthday gal getting up early at 6:30 and I woke up at 7:40. And as it happens always we were running in the morning for our daily schedule. She was getting ready for the past 1½ hr and we finally caught the bus at 8:13 AM.

While coming to the office, I had a brief talk with Mom for about 30min , discussing on our trip to India among other things.

Malathi in Nokia
Today I have invited Malathi to Nokia for Lunch. She arrived at 12:50 after a short stint of loosing the way to office. Lunch was pretty bad and she was bit upset with the kind of food available which is usually salat. After which at around 13:30 we left for Fisketorvet where I bought a rabbit (with long ears) as a birthday gift for Malathi. Forgot to mention the rain all the way and Malathi was wet on her way to Nokia.

Sweet Home
On coming to our apartment, I have received few letters and one of which says that I need to collect the parcel from Brondby Strand post office which was sent from Praneeth on account of Malathi's Birthday. This is still not known to her, and I would surprise her when I will bring that back tomorrow. Due to the rain, now Malathi is feeling dizzy along with head ache. She had received a call from Sowmya (her friend from US) for wishing her. Later she made few phone calls for wishes to relatives. We ate some rice as we both were hungry. She slept for about an hour with headache, while I was watching old cricket videos. I made Maggi noodles after that.

Birthday Event-Evening
We have not invited many for the event. We have started with whipping the cream and
dressing the cake with the whipped cream and writing the names. Later had a photo session.

For the cake cutting session, we have invited our neighbors. They obliged and brought a present along, a beautiful crystal serving bowl. Now the well decorated birthday cake is ready and Malathi is very excited. We had decorated the table with all the soft toys around the cake and it was looking very colorful and I was very happy and getting excited too.

The neighbors arrived, and we had the Birthday song in Danish first and then in English. Malathi is very animated and during the whole event, photos and videos are being taken. We were taking in Danish and ti was very funny to listen to my own Danish speaking ability. They left around 9:30 in the evening very satisfied and we we bit tired now.

End of the day
After a very satisfying event and the cake coming good, I feel nice that I have done something productive. Had a pizza for dinner. I hope, today has lived the expectations of Malathi. We are very tired now. We are expecting guests (Raju, Pavani) tomorrow evening and not to forget the final ODI IND vs NZ early morning (which I may skip).
